The article analyzes the peculiarities of teacher's work with neural networks which provide an opportunity for practicing speaking skills in English classes. The use of neural network technologies during the teaching process helps the teacher to diversify learning by adding interactive tasks generated by artificial intelligence to traditional methods and approaches. The article analyses the capabilities of AI-based resources such as Twee, ChatGPT, Simple class and Elevenlabs. It shows exactly which tasks for the development of speaking skills can be generated using these resources, as well as how neural networks can be used during the lesson and for preparing for the upcoming lesson. The paper reflects on the experience of teaching English using neural networks to undergraduate students.
Key words: neural network, artificial intelligence, English language teaching, speaking practice, chatbots
