У ИСТОКОВ «СЕНТИМЕНТАЛЬНОЙ ГОТИКИ»: РОМАН ШАРЛОТТЫ СМИТ «ЭММЕЛИНА, ИЛИ СИРОТА В ЗАМКЕ»
Abstract
На примере романа Шарлотты Смит «Эммелина, или Сирота в замке» рассматривается формирование сентиментальной готики в английской литературе, определены сюжетно-мотивные доминанты, которые окажутся продуктивными в период расцвета английского готического романа в последней трети восемнадцатого столетия.
