The article focuses on children’s discourse as a phenomenon of the child’s forming linguistic identity. The specific features of interrelations of speech and cogitative development are described. The mechanisms of word formation on the basis of the analysis of children’s speech innovations that show the peculiarity of children’s discourse are identified.
