THE RIVER DON IN THE COMPOSITION OF SHOLOKHOV’S NOV¬EL “QUIET FLOWS THE DON”
Abstract
Dibrova E.I.
Keywords: the river Don, etymology, topography, customs and traditions.
The article is devoted to the study of the composite structure which describes the river Don. The author shows the etymology of the name Don, the river topography, customs and traditions connected with the river. The name Don referring to the river organizes the novel narration thus becoming a distant means to connect descriptive composites.
