This article describes the VII International scientific-practical conference "Sevastopol Cyril and Methodius Readings". The main themes of the reports were the spiritual and moral aspects of the language and literature, the education in our time, which is particularly important for the education of the younger generation. The lexis study allows us to see how the Russian national language was being formed.
