ON THE FOLK TRADITIONS IN THE ADIGHE NOVEL OF THE 1960S TO THE 1980S
Abstract
Key words: folklore, tradition, symbolism, legend, genre, innovation.
The article is devoted to the study of folk traditions in the national literatures of the Adighe peoples: Adygei, Kabardian, Circassian. In particular, the author of the paper considers the novel as a literary genre, the role and the place of folklore motives in the novel, symbolism and imagery. The article discusses in detail the novels of the famous Adyghe writers: A. Keshokov, T. Kerashev, H. Mashbash, T. Adighov. The key thesis of the article, supported by the author, is the formation of the genre of the novel in Adighe literatures was developing increasingly: from folklore to literature.
