MAIN DIRECTIONS OF THE IMPACT OF NEW INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES ON THE SCIENCE POPULARIZATION
Abstract
Key words: science popularization, popular science website, new information technologies, Internet.
The main task of this article is to soberly assess the impact of new information technologies to the science popularization. Qualitative and quantitative changes of the traditional genre forms, types of media are considered. Another task is to classify new information channels, which appeared as a result of the “digital revolution”. The role of it is spreading of information of a scientific or scientific-popular character, such as the popular science website, and a computer program.
