PECULIARITIES OF SOCIAL IDEOLOGY EXPRESSION IN DICTIONARY ARTICLES OF THE “RUSSIAN EXPLANATORY DICTIONARY” EDITED BY D.N. USHAKOV
Abstract

The article reflects the problem of indoctrination. It examines the impact of historical events of the first half of the XX century on the transformation of public consciousness of the era, which is expressed in the language. On the example of “Explanatory dictionary of the Russian language,” edited by D.N. Ushakov the author shows the main parameters of the reflection of Soviet ideology. In the study of existing linguistic material it is used criteria such as semantic-based concepts and features of designated stylistics, indicating the presence or absence of the word labels “new” on the basis of which they were isolated from certain lexical-semantic groups (those elements of the system control, image life). Forms of information were the embodiment of ideological components, connotative components, correlations, semantic opposition derivational model. Based on the approach of N.A. Kupina to the definition of Sovietisms and their specific use in the text the article identifies the most frequent ways of implementing ideological information in entries considered as lexicographic editions. It is stressed the importance of “Explanatory dictionary of the Russian language,” edited by D.N. Ushakov as a monument to the era, it reflected the ideology of the Soviet state of the first half of the XX century in the language. The article is addressed to students-philologists, teachers, scholars of lexicography.
