This article represents the author`s analysis of the manual "Sketches on onomastic translation and didactics" by Kulpina G. V. In many respects the views of the author and Kulpina V. G. are similar. Kulpina’s research is characterized with undoubted originality, as it is based on a comparative analysis of onomastic systems of related Slavic languages. The article proves the relevance and usefulness of this manual.
