This article examines challenging aspects of the perception of Sergei Yesenin's poetry in the Arab world. Despite Yesenin's current presence in the Arab cultural space, the study of his creative activity comes across several difficulties, the most important of them is the limited number of complete and accurate translations. The article discusses the following issues: the accuracy of translations of work titles; omissions of parts of the original text; linguistic and semantic errors; the introduction of vocabulary not found in the original; misunderstandings of Yesenin's original vocabulary; errors in the dating of works, etc. Other key challenges include the translator's objective difficulty in conveying the individual and cultural features of the works. Translations by H. Sharara, H. al-Sheikh Ja'far, A. arRahman al-Khamisi, I. Makarem, and others are analyzed with the help of comparative and contextual methods. Many of Yesenin's notable works have not been translated yet, thus depriving Arab literary scholars of the necessary material for understanding the ideological and literary evolution of the poet's creativity. Consequently, the primary task is to develop an accurate, multi-level critical approach, including (in some cases) retranslation of major poems into modern Arabic and their analysis within the framework of literary and cultural studies, considering historical background as well as facts of Yesenin's biography. The article contributes to the development of the academic project aimed at strengthening Yesenin's presence in the Arab world.
