The relevance of the research is due to the active formation of the cognitive-semantic approach to the study of idiostyle. Epithetation is interpreted as a cognitive operation of transferring an attribute from another conceptual area, which results in the formation of a new epithet complex with a blended attribute element. An analysis of the epithetation of one of the key concepts of M. Tsvetaeva's creation - the concept of “jealousy” is undertaken. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that in the M. Tsvetaeva's texts, jealousy is always present as an integral element of love and is associated not only with suffering, but is also felt as eternal substance. It shows that the logic of the epithetation of jealousy has an anthropocentric character of the personifying type, as a result of which the attribute extends to both humans and natural objects. The polarity of the epithetation of jealousy in the M. Tsvetaeva's idiostyle and the demand for an occasional understanding of reality are essential for her creative thinking.
Key words: epithetation, Marina Tsvetaeva, concept “jealousy”, individual style, epithet complex, attribute
