The article examines the concept of “educational environment” and approaches to its description and representation. An attempt is made to investigate the status of teaching methodology as an independent science. A methodologically sound and timely perspective on teaching foreign languages is formulated and described, particularly the teaching of Russian as a foreign language, which takes into account the national characteristics of foreign learners and the use of texts on Russian history and culture in the process of teaching the Russian language. The educational environment is explored as a catalyst for improving educational outcomes through conditions that facilitate the learning and development of foreign individuals, taking into account the components of the environment (spatial-subject, social, and organizational-technological), as well as through evaluating learning effectiveness and the achievement of specified educational goals.
Key words: educational environment, educational goals, pedagogical conditions, personal development, environmental components, psychological barriers, technology integration, online courses, interactive platforms, virtual reality, anthropocentrism, suggestopedia, RFL teaching methodology, linguocultural aspects, learning effectiveness
