This article is devoted to the problem of the development of pronunciation skills in teaching English to students of non-linguistic specialties. The relevance of the problem is related to the fundamental role of these skills in the formation and development of other foreign language competencies (reading, listening, speaking, etc.). The methods of work used were theoretical analysis of literature on the relevant topic, as well as statistical analysis of the results of student work completed during two semesters. The main problems are identified, such as the lack of a concept for the purposeful formation of pronunciation skills, a lack of methodological materials and a general reduction in the number of hours per discipline. The use of digital pronunciation learning tools is considered as a solution. The literature review presents an analysis of the most popular Internet resources that can be used to solve this problem. The practical experience of using the free digital resource Howjsay in teaching students English for professional communication is described, and based on the analysis of students’ assignments, a conclusion is drawn about the positive impact of this tool on students' academic performance when completing phonetic tasks.
