The subject of this article was the IX international scientific conference "Problems of General and regional onomastics", which took place in May, 2014 in Maicop. The conference was dedicated to the blessed memory of the famous scientist – Professor Superanskaya A. V. The conference was attended by both teachers and students. The participants shared their experience and original research results. The relevance of the presentations and the high level of the conference indicate that modern onomastics has a high potential for further research.
