The Precedent Name Hercules in Russian-Speaking Political Media

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the precedent name as a linguistic and cultural phenomenon, which forms a new fragment of the political picture of the world. A comprehensive analysis of the precedent name of Hercules in the Russian-language political media is conducted in the work. To identify the communicative and pragmatic potential of the political text, the thematic, semantic and semantic-grammatical classifications of stable constructions with the Hercules core component in the Russian-language media discourse are proposed. Knowledge of precedent names contributes to effective cross-cultural communication.
