DIDACTIC POTENTIAL OF DERIVATIVE DICTIONARY FOR MORPHEME AND DERIVATIVE SKILL-BUILD ACTIVITIES AMONG BASIC SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract. The paper substantiates the importance to build the strong and conscious morpheme and derivative skill among basic school students. The author identifies and analyzes the main approaches to describe the Russian morpheme and derivative system, reveals and discloses the wide educational and developing potential of the derivative dictionary (in particular, ‘School Russian derivative dictionary’ by A. N. Tikhonov) to build of the studied skills. She presents two exercise groups with support the derivative dictionary, gives some task formulations of these exercises.
