Peculiarities of the Assembling Structure of the Novel «Shaved Man» by A. Marienhof

The article analyzes the characteristics of various embodiments of assembling techniques in the context of the narrative structure of the novel by A. Marienhof «The shaved man». The writer’s prose is distinguished by the non-linearity of the composition and the fragmentation of the text. Great influence on the work of the author made the art of cinema that was actively developed in the early XX century. The novel «The shaved man» is a kind of game, and a continuous experiment with various techniques of installation proposed by S. Eisenstein, L. Kuleshov, Pudovkin, etc. Within this text it is enumerated not only the main assembling methods, but also revealed the specifics of their influence on the formation of various meanings. Thanks to the assembling of heterogeneous and diverse objects Marienhof managed to portray in detail both the fate of the characters and the history of the turning epoch the early XX century as a whole.
