The author of this article describes in detail the program of the 5th International Congress of the Russian language researchers, which was held in March, 2014. The theme of this event was: "The Russian language: its historical destiny and present state". The congress recalled, as the author says, the Russian language requires a careful attitude, state support, especially in highly important dictionary projects.
