This article focuses on the conference "Linguacultural phenomena in the communicative sphere of a multicultural region" that was organized by the Institute of Philology, Journalism, and Intercultural Communications (Southern Federal University) and Society of Russian Language and Literature Teachers (ROPRYAL). The conference participants discussed multi-paradigmatic character of modern linguistics and touched upon the topic of the conflict in the South-East of the Ukraine.
