The article covers the analysis of the work « Literary memory of Switzerland: Past and present» by Matt P. The author focuses on the Swiss literature and on the German literary language. The importance of time running for the people of Switzerland and Matt’s way of telling the story of the Swiss myth are emphasized. The author admires Matt’s ability to avoid triviality in his work.
