The author of this article describes in detail the activities of the Slavic studies Forum for Russian and German universities, which took place at the end of September – at the beginning of October in 2014 in the German capital. This event took place in the framework of the "Year of the Russian language and literature in Germany." The forum brought together over 50 heads of Russian and German universities, institutes and departments of Russian and Slavonic studies, researchers and academic staff. The schedule of the forum included reports, master classes and round tables. The final discussion was devoted to the prospects and problems of interuniversity educational cooperation.
