TO THE PROBLEM OF INTERLINGUAL AND INTERCULTURAL CONTACTS (WITH REFERENCE TO RUSSIAN AND FRENCH PHRASEOLOGY)
Abstract
Kravtsov S. M., Gvozdikova A. P.
Keywords: a phraseological unit, imagery content, intercultural communication, a loan word, homonymy.
The article deals with Russian and French idioms, which migrated from one language into another as a result of borrowing or loan translation, and idioms that have the identical plan of expression, but different content. They present particular difficulties in translation and cross-cultural communication. The article provides the semantic analysis of Russian and French units, which are characterized by the identity of their form. The adequacy of their understanding is not possible without linguo-cultural comments done for the speakers of other cultures.
