This article describes the forum of the World Russian National Council, which took place on the 12th of December, 2012. Participants noted that thanks to the Russian language, which connected people of the North Caucasus, region has become a spiritual and cultural space. As a result, definite proposals for strengthening the consolidating role of the Russian language in the North Caucasus region were put forward.
